Humedics is strengthening its push into the aesthetic medical market in Thailand and across Southeast Asia.
Humedics, an aesthetics-focused company under Huons Group, said Sept. 7 that it participated in ASLS Bangkok 2026, an international aesthetic medicine conference recently held in Bangkok, Thailand.
At the conference, Humedics delivered two lectures on its hyaluronic acid (HA) filler Elravie Premier and operated an exhibition booth.
Humedics obtained regulatory approval for Elravie Premier in Thailand in February last year and began sales there. It is expanding the market through distribution and physician training with its local partner, MNB Thai.
At the conference, Thai clinicians served as speakers and introduced the characteristics of Elravie Premier and their clinical experience with the product.
The first lecture was delivered Sept. 2 by Thanaphat Deeprasopwit, director of Aster Clinic in Thailand, under the theme “Precise Contouring Without Post-Treatment Swelling: A Practical Guide.”
Thanaphat focused on how swelling immediately after filler injections can affect the predictability of final results and patient satisfaction. He explained practical protocols for selecting injection layers, treatment guidelines for different products and managing swelling.
The second lecture was delivered Sept. 3 by Choi Ho-sung, director of Rieul Dermatology Clinic. Choi spoke on “Small Volume, High Precision: Korean HA Filler Techniques for Lip, Chin and Tear Trough Correction.”
Choi introduced Korean-style filler techniques that move away from large-volume injections and instead use small amounts to refine facial contours. He also presented treatment methods for different areas that combine facial anatomical characteristics and injection patterns using the “diamond zone” with the product’s rheological properties, along with clinical cases.
A Humedics official said, “It is significant that a local Thai clinician directly presented on Elravie filler just one year after its launch. We will incorporate clinical feedback gathered at the conference into product development and local training programs to expand our presence in Thailand and other Southeast Asian markets.”
Humedics traces its roots to Hanyakmaeul, established in February 2003 for the manufacture and sale of functional foods, and changed its name to Humedics in March 2010. The company subsequently expanded into pharmaceuticals and aesthetics based on its production and application technologies for hyaluronic acid (HA) and PDRN materials, and was listed on the KOSDAQ market in December 2014.
Humedics is now a major affiliate of Huons Group, with aesthetic products such as fillers and prescription drugs among its main businesses, and is expanding its operations as a global healthcare company.
