BTS member V is aiming for the top spot in the December Birthday Idol poll for the second year running.
The K-pop global platform UPICK has launched a voting event to celebrate artists with December birthdays, featuring a competitive lineup of major K-pop stars born in the last month of the year.
The current frontrunners in a tight race for the lead are AlphaDrive One’s An Shin, BTS’s V, and ZB1’s Kim Jiwoong. Hot on their heels are AHOF Daisuke, ENHYPEN’s Sunghoon, BOYNEXTDOOR’s Myung Jaehyun, BTS’s Jin, and SMTR25’s Nicholas.
V, who clinched the top spot in last year’s December Birthday Idol poll, is once again making his presence felt among the top contenders. ZB1’s Kim Jiwoong and AlphaDrive One’s An Shin are also holding their ground, buoyed by enthusiastic fan participation.
In other news, BTS is currently on their ARIRANG world tour. From October 28 to 31, they’ll be performing at São Paulo’s Estádio do MorumBIS, connecting with Brazilian fans. The tour will then continue across Asia and Oceania, with stops in Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.
Kim Jiwoong recently released a fan song titled “DON′T FORGET” on October 14, while An Shin’s group AlphaDrive One dropped their new single “Talk to Me” on October 22, both maintaining active promotional schedules.
