As Israel retaliates against Iran, the government confirmed on the afternoon of the 19th that there are currently no casualties among South Korean citizens.

A foreign ministry official stated, “There are no reported or confirmed casualties among South Korean citizens.”

According to ABC News, Israel struck Iranian facilities with missiles in the early hours of the 19th (local time). Iranian media also reported that an explosion was heard at a central airport in Isfahan province that day.

It is known that numerous nuclear facilities, including the Natanz nuclear facility, which is the center of Iran’s uranium enrichment, are densely located in Isfahan province.

According to the foreign ministry, there is a South Korean citizen staying in the Isfahan area, and their safety has been confirmed.

Previously, Israel bombed the Iranian consulate in Syria on the 1st, and in response, Iran retaliated with over 300 weapons, including drones and missiles, on the 13th.
