The South Korean government has decided to provide $3 million in humanitarian aid to four Southern African countries—Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, and Namibia—suffering from drought.
According to the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government decided to provide humanitarian aid through the World Food Programme (WFP) to these four countries that have declared national disasters or emergencies due to prolonged severe drought. They expressed hope that this support would contribute to alleviating the crisis.
The aid distribution by country includes $1 million for Zimbabwe, $1 million for Zambia, $500,000 for Malawi, and $500,000 for Namibia.
