A self-employed business owner recently shared an unpleasant experience caused by someone’s spit left on their door lock.

The story was posted on the self-employed business owner community’s website, Pain Is a Blessing for the Business Owner, on the 2nd under the title “Spit on the Door Lock.”

The OP (original poster) stated, “I left work and returned 10 minutes later. When I went to enter the passcode, I noticed something sticky on the door lock. It wasn’t on the door, but right where you touch the door lock, and it turned out to be spit.”

The posted photo shows spit smeared around the door lock, making viewers frown with discomfort.

The OP lamented, “I haven’t had any issues or fights with anyone recently, which makes me afraid. I wonder if any other business owners have experienced this. There are a lot of weird people out there. Unfortunately, the CCTV only covers the inside of the store.”

One netizen shared a similar experience. They said, “When I ran a store in the past, I checked the CCTV pointed towards the door, and I saw the owner of the pub next door spitting on my door. He was old enough to know better. Surprisingly, there are a lot of people who lack decency and basic manners.”

Another netizen commented, “Unless there’s a grudge, it’s unthinkable.”
