Samsung Electronics has secured orders for 2-nanometer (nm) foundry services from major clients, including those in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector.

The tech giant is in talks with key clients, including Broadcom, about advanced process projects. Samsung projects that its 2nm order volume this year will more than double compared to the previous year.

During the Q2 earnings call on Thursday, Samsung Electronics revealed that they’ve landed 2nm projects with major clients and AI customers. These clients are currently in the product design phase.

The company confirmed ongoing discussions with key clients, including Broadcom. Samsung Electronics added that they’re steadily expanding the advanced process orders. Given this momentum, it expects the 2nm orders to grow significantly, more than doubling last year’s figures.
