A public servant who viewed child and adolescent pornography has been handed over to the prosecution.
According to South Korea’s Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency on July 9, a Level 6 public servant from Pohang was sent to the prosecution on charges of downloading and viewing child pornography at his home in mid-February. It is known that the Cyber Investigation Team of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency exposed this act.
The Pohang City Council dismissed the public servant from his position in April before he was handed over to the prosecution.
A Pohang City servant said, “We plan to severely punish him according to the results of the investigation.”
