South Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korean Food Promotion Institute announced today that they will host a Korean food experience and promotion event at the Paris Korea House opening ceremony on July 25, showcasing 18 new menu items.
Korea House is a national promotional center to introduce Korean culture and cuisine during the Paris Olympics.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs plans to promote Korean food’s charm by inviting five top Korean restaurants and six chefs from Paris.
They will present 18 new Korean dishes developed around seasonal and fermented foods and provide information about excellent Korean restaurants and cooking methods.
Yang Joo Phil, Director of Food Industry Policy at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, said, “The Paris Olympics is a great opportunity to introduce excellent Korean food culture to people around the world,” and added, “We will continue to spread the diverse charm and value of Korean food through international events such as sports and conventions.”
