EtcNorth Korea Condemns Ukraine's Attack, Affirms Strong Alliance with Russia

North Korea has condemned Ukraine’s attack on Russia’s Kursk region, calling it “a serious act of terrorism that killed dozens of peaceful residents and injured hundreds more.”

Yesterday, a spokesperson for North Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement through the Korean Central News Agency, stating, “The puppet authorities of Zelenskyy, under the manipulation and support of the United States and the West, launched an armed attack on Russian territory, violating the territorial integrity and security of a sovereign state,” calling it an “unacceptable act of invasion.”

The spokesperson criticized, stating, “The U.S. and its allies are misleading public opinion by suggesting they have no connection to the situation. However, the presence of American and Western-made tanks on the battlefield in Kursk indicates who is backing Ukraine.”

They also warned, “The responsibility for this crisis, which could potentially drag all of Europe into a new full-scale war, rests entirely with the United States and its allies. The provocateurs will face appropriate retaliation.”

Furthermore, the spokesperson accused the U.S. and the West of “recklessly flooding Ukraine with enormous quantities of weaponry and drawing it into an anti-Russia proxy war,” asserting that this escalation threatens to push global security to the edge of a third world war.

The spokesperson concluded by stating that the intense battle in Kursk that day would signify the “start of the total destruction of the Zelenskyy puppet regime” and a strategic defeat for the U.S. and the West. He added that North Korea would steadfastly and vigorously support the sacred war of the Russian military and people.

In June, North Korea strengthened its ties with Russia by signing a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership treaty akin to a military alliance.
