Teddy-produced group MEOVV has made a bold debut in the music industry.
On Friday afternoon, MEOVV’s debut media showcase was streamed online. During the event, the group performed its debut single, “MEOW,” and shared its thoughts on its debut and the song.
MEOVV is the first group fully managed by the famous producer Teddy, overseeing everything from member selection to production. The five-member girl group includes Sooin, Gawon, Anna, Narin, and Ella. They have attracted significant attention and anticipation even before the debut, and it is reported that each member brings solid skills to the table.
The debut single “MEOW” features an addictive melody with a captivating bass line, showcasing MEOVV’s multifaceted identity. The track combines intense, stylish sounds with the members’ distinctive voices.
Gawon expressed her excitement on this day, saying, “I’m so happy to be on the debut stage I’ve dreamed of for so long.” She added, “I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supported and helped us.” Gawon continued, “All the members have worked tirelessly to get to this moment, and we’re determined to show everything we’ve prepared as MEOVV.”
Ella also shared, “I am filled with gratitude,” adding, “I think I will never forget this moment for the rest of my life.” She continued, “I am committed to working hard so that MEOVV remains a great group for everyone in the future.”
Gawon spoke about the guidance she received from producer Teddy before its debut, saying, “Instead of offering specific advice, he focused on the smallest details we might have missed.” She expressed her gratitude and admiration for his collaborative approach and attention to every detail.
Gawon added, “The insights we gain from conversations with Teddy are a major source of motivation for us.” She also noted, “The most important thing he emphasized is always to enjoy our work and, since we’ve been pursuing this dream, to have fun and be happy doing it.”
She also drew attention by referring to senior artist Jeon Somi as their “spiritual supporter.” Narin added, “Somi helped us a lot by actively assisting in selecting the thumbnails for our individual trailer videos, which gave us a boost.”
Regarding its plans, Sooin said, “I’m focused solely on the stage. I want to connect with the audience through performances, hear their cheers, and meet fans from many countries through a world tour.” She added, “I also hope we can do performances where we interact and enjoy the moment together, similar to college festivals.”
Anna expressed her desire for MEOVV to establish a distinct identity, stating, “I hope we can make a strong impression with our diverse charms and hear people say, ‘That’s MEOVV.'”
