BTS’s Jin revealed behind-the-scenes stories of his solo album on Salon Drip 2.

On Tuesday, Jin appeared on the YouTube web variety show Salon Drip 2, which aired on TEO.

Jin raised anticipation for his upcoming solo album, “Happy,” which is scheduled for release on November 15. He reflected on his recent experience, “I performed the day after my discharge, and it was really nerve-wracking and difficult without the other members.” However, he humorously added, “But now that I’m doing it alone, I actually really enjoy it.”

He explained that working on a solo album allowed him full control, unlike group projects where “everyone has a lot of input.” He continued, “There’s a lot to handle, but it’s nice to see things go how I envision.”

Jin then highlighted a particular line from the pre-released track “I’ll Be There” that he wanted to share: “I live to give more than just small things.” He explained, “I wrote it with the hope that fans could find not just small happiness but great happiness with us. The fans have given me everything, and as long as I continue in this career, I have to live for them,” he said, expressing his deep gratitude toward ARMY, the fandom of BTS.

Jin also mentioned that he drafted an idea sketch during his military service to plan for his post-discharge activities. He revealed that just a day or two after his discharge, he completed the lyrics for the fan song “In Longing,” drawing attention. Jin explained that “about 30% of the lyrics came from ideas I sketched out while in the military,” sharing the song’s backstory, which expresses his longing for his fans.
