The recent revelation of MBC weathercaster Oh Yoanna’s tragic death, allegedly due to workplace bullying, has sparked widespread outrage. The focus is now on the senior weathercasters accused of being involved in the harassment.
As of Thursday, music producer Pdogg, reportedly dating MBC weathercaster Kim Gayoung, has been bombarded with critical comments on his social media accounts. Similarly, trot singer Choi Hyun Sang, the husband of Lee Hyun Seung, has faced such severe backlash that he has been forced to disable comments on his social media pages.
Internet users have left scathing remarks for Pdogg, including: “If you’re still together, you’re complicit,” “End the relationship before you get married,” “Your ancestors must have helped,” and “Please make sure this doesn’t affect BTS.”
Pdogg, known internationally as a producer for the global sensation BTS, confirmed his relationship with Kim Gayoung in February of last year.
Meanwhile, on Choi Hyun Sang’s social media, users have been equally critical, leaving comments like: “If you have any conscience, at least honor your wife’s memory,” “I came here because your wife blocked comments on Instagram,” and “Were you aware that your wife is one of the four people in that senior group chat?”

Following the delayed announcement of Oh Yoanna’s death on January 27, it was revealed that a private four-person group chat involving senior weathercasters had excluded the deceased and her peers.
Oh Yoanna’s family has provided evidence, including a suicide note and recorded files found on her phone, alleging that four MBC weathercasters — Lee Hyun-Seung, Kim Gayoung, Choi A Ri, and Park Ha Myung — subjected her to bullying.
Despite the ongoing controversy, the individuals named as perpetrators continue to present MBC’s weather forecasts.
