On Wednesday, Korean Air announced its impressive performance at the prestigious Cellars in the Sky Awards 2024, where it won medals in five categories.
Korean Air won gold medals in two categories: Business Class Red Wine for the Dandelion Vineyards Lionheart of the Barossa Shiraz 2021, and Business Class Sparkling Wine for the Charles Heidsieck Brut Millésimé 2013.
Korean Air also earned silver medals for its Business Class white wine, Jean-Marc Brocard Chablis Premier Cru Mont de Milieu 2022, and its First Class dessert wine, Château Guiraud 2022. Overall, Korean Air’s Business Class wine selection scored an impressive second place, securing a silver medal in the Business Class Cellar category.
The Cellars in the Sky Awards is among the most prestigious airline wine competitions. Organized by London’s globe-trotting Business Traveller magazine, this contest has been the gold standard since 1985, separating the vineyard victors from the vine vanquished in the world of mile-high imbibing.
Korean Air takes its wine selection seriously, offering 53 wines across all cabin classes. First-class passengers enjoy a premium selection of 20 wine varieties, making their flying experience even more luxurious.
