Hanwha Hotels & Resorts THE PLAZA unveiled its “Great Challengers with HLE” package on Monday, catering to fans of the wildly popular League of Legends (LOL) game.
THE PLAZA has previously offered two-room packages in partnership with Hanwha Life Esports (HLE), which included tickets to LOL matches. This groundbreaking collaboration marked the first time a hotel chain has partnered with an esports organization.
For the previous package, 83% of customers came from abroad, with particularly strong interest from Asian countries such as China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Following HLE’s win in the summer, THE PLAZA’s LOL package sales skyrocketed by 161% compared to the spring season.
This latest package features a deluxe room and two tickets to an LCK match. The LOL Park, the venue for LCK matches, is conveniently located in the Gran Seoul Tower, Jongno-gu, just a 15-minute walk from THE PLAZA.
The package is available on dates when HLE has scheduled matches, with 30 games planned through August.
Hanwha Hotels & Resorts has also organized an exciting prize draw event.
Each day, one lucky room will be randomly selected to receive a uniform autographed by an HLE player. Additionally, a three-line acrostic poem contest will be held on the official Instagram accounts of THE PLAZA and Hanwha Life Esports. Winners will have the chance to receive either an autographed uniform or a limited-edition HLE dust bag as a prize.
