On Monday, NCSOFT, hereafter referred to as NCSOFT, announced that it will launch its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Lineage2M in six Southeast Asian countries on May 20.
Last week, NCSOFT held a showcase event in Bangkok, Thailand, with its Southeast Asian partner VNGGames, at which it officially revealed the release schedule.
Local services will be managed by NCV GAMES, a joint venture established by NCSOFT and VNGGames.
The game will be released in six major Southeast Asian countries: Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, and the Philippines.
The game environment will allow users across the region to play together on a unified server.
Users can access Lineage2M via mobile devices and NCSOFT’s game platform, PURPLE.
NCV GAMES has focused heavily on localization efforts for the Southeast Asian market.
The game will support five languages: English, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, and Simplified Chinese.
The share of in-game items that can be obtained through gameplay has been increased.
Programs such as the Clan Support Program and various in-game events will be offered to encourage participation in the clan system.
NCV GAMES is currently accepting pre-orders for Lineage2M through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
