KG Mobility reported a global sales decline of 11.4% year-over-year in March, with a total of 9,483 units sold.

While exports increased 4.6% to 6,275 units compared to the same period last year, sales in the South Korean market plummeted by 31.8% to 3,208 units, dragging down overall global sales figures.

However, global sales improved by 12.1% compared to February. During this period, sales in the South Korean market and exports grew by 19.9% and 8.6%, respectively.

KG Mobility attributed the sales recovery to new models, such as the Musso EV and Torres Hybrid, which began customer deliveries in mid-March.

In the global market, the top-selling models were the Torres (2,843 units), followed by the Rexton (1,262 units) and the Tivoli (1,141 units).

In the South Korean market, the best-sellers were the Torres (1,058 units), the Musso EV (526 units), and the Musso Sports (511 units). Export leaders were the Torres (1,785 units), Rexton (1,157 units), and Korando (781 units).

For the first quarter of this year, KG Mobility’s global sales totaled 26,009 units, down 11.3% from the same period last year. Sales in the South Korean market declined sharply, 33.0% to 8,184 units, while exports increased by 4.2% to 17,825 units.
