According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on Monday, Apple is considering price increases for its upcoming iPhone lineup, set to be unveiled this fall.

Apple is exploring new features and designs for the latest iPhone models while also reviewing potential price increases.

The WSJ report indicates that Apple aims to avoid the perception that any price increases are due to U.S. government tariffs on Chinese products. Most Apple devices are currently assembled in China.

On Monday, the U.S. and Chinese governments agreed to suspend mutual tariffs. However, the 20% tariff imposed by President Trump early in his second term, citing China’s involvement in fentanyl trafficking, will remain in effect. This tariff includes smartphones, according to the WSJ.

The new iPhones are slated for release this fall. These products are expected to have some changes in design and shape, including ultra-slim profiles. A recent report from The Information suggests that Apple plans to introduce an ultra-slim iPhone by year-end, with a foldable phone expected to be unveiled in 2026.
