Samsung Electronics announced on Wednesday that it will integrate Google’s Gemini into its Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds.

Through its newsroom, Samsung Electronics revealed plans to expand the Gemini service to its Galaxy Watch smartwatches and Galaxy Buds wireless earphones series via a software update starting this summer.

Samsung Electronics aims to provide an enhanced wearable experience by incorporating Gemini artificial intelligence (AI) into its wearable devices in the latter half of this year.

Gemini on the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds series will be activated by touch or voice commands and will sync with Galaxy smartphones, functioning as a type of AI assistant.

A Samsung Electronics representative explained that, for example, while running on a treadmill at the gym, you can ask Gemini on your Galaxy Watch to remember your locker number. This allows you to handle various tasks conveniently without reaching for your smartphone.

This wearable AI update is expected to roll out first to the latest devices, such as the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Buds 3.

A Samsung Electronics official stated that the product lineup for the upcoming Gemini update will be announced at a later date.
