Kyochon F&B (Kyochon), the company behind the popular chicken franchise Kyochon Chicken, announced on Tuesday that its Mid-Wilshire location in Los Angeles (LA) has reopened on Monday after a seven-month renovation.

This newly renovated Mid-Wilshire store holds a special place in Kyochon’s history. It was the brand’s first overseas outlet, opened in 2007, marking the beginning of Kyochon’s global expansion. As the launchpad for their international growth, it carries significant importance.

The renovation has provided Kyochon with an opportunity to reinforce its brand identity and enhance store competitiveness. They have achieved this by integrating traditional Korean aesthetics into the interior design and implementing advanced automated operational systems.

The store’s transformation revolves around the concept of Kyochon Family, seamlessly combining traditional Korean beauty with modern technology.

Drawing inspiration from their flagship store Kyochon Pilbang in Seoul’s trendy Itaewon district, the interior now features striking elements that clearly express the brand’s philosophy.

A notable feature is the large brush sculpture, symbolizing Kyochon’s core values of sincerity and dedication. Throughout the space, resin columns filled with signature sauce ingredients such as honey, garlic, and Cheongyang chili pepper offer a visual narrative of the brand’s story.

The operational upgrade is equally impressive. Kyochon has fully embraced proven kitchen automation technology to improve efficiency. The kitchen now includes an automatic powder dispenser and collaborative cooking robots that handle batter and frying, while serving robots efficiently deliver orders around the dining area. This technological enhancement not only reduces labor costs but also ensures that Kyochon’s signature flavors remain consistently delicious.

Another exciting addition is the introduction of MoonBear, Kyochon’s premium craft beer. The Mid-Wilshire location becomes the first Kyochon store in the U.S. to offer this beer. In a creative twist, the serving robots feature Moon Bear character designs, reflecting the overseas trend for unique, distinctive characters.

A Kyochon F&B spokesperson stated that the Mid-Wilshire location in LA is more than just a store – it’s a symbol of Kyochon’s global journey and a bridge to international success. Further noting that this renovation transforms it into a cutting-edge outlet that perfectly balances our brand philosophy with advanced systems, setting the stage for the future growth.
