Doosan Robotics announced on Thursday that its artificial intelligence (AI) powered robotic solution, Scan & Go, has clinched two prestigious awards at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 Innovation Awards: the Best Innovation Award in the AI category and the Innovation Award in the Robotics category.

The CES Innovation Awards, presented annually by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), recognize products that showcase exceptional technological prowess and innovation. These accolades are bestowed ahead of CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics and technology trade show, held each January in Las Vegas.

Doosan Robotics’ Scan & Go is a cutting-edge platform that combines a robotic arm with an autonomous mobile robot (AMR). It leverages physics-informed AI and advanced three-dimensional (3D) vision technology to perform a wide range of tasks autonomously. The physics-informed AI integrates data with physical laws, allowing the robot to learn its own physical characteristics – such as joints, torque sensors, and friction – during the training process. This innovative approach significantly enhances the robot’s reliability and efficiency.

One of Scan & Go’s standout features is its ability to scan the surfaces of large, complex structures like turbine blades, aircraft fuselages, and building facades. After scanning, it generates optimal work paths and can perform various tasks including inspection, sanding, and grinding with remarkable precision.

The system operates on a plug-and-play basis, eliminating the need for separate design blueprints for complex tasks. This feature not only saves valuable time but also achieves an impressive work precision of 0.1 mm (about 0.004 inches). Equipped with torque sensors on all six axes of its robotic arm, Scan & Go can make real-time force adjustments even on varying surfaces. Moreover, it boasts industry-leading safety standards (PLe, Cat4), ensuring optimal protection during operation.
