North Korea highlighted economic achievements from across the country in anticipation of the year-end plenary meeting.

The Workers’ Party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, featured a front-page article on Tuesday titled, The Era of Rural Revitalization Continues to Paint a Satisfying Picture This Year. The article reported that even previously underperforming farms are now thriving, with farmers performing lively traditional dances in front of towering stacks of harvested crops.

The newspaper touted that the Daean Heavy Machine Complex has implemented a new automated control system for material production processes, while the Komdok Mining Complex has doubled its extraction, ore transportation, and processing capacities.

Page 2 covered the 80th anniversary celebration of the Pyongyang General Printing Factory at the People’s Palace of Culture. An article headlined Winds of Competition lauded the leadership of Party General Secretary Kim Jong Un, stating that new standards and records are being set in every workplace, with a powerful drive to accelerate all dreams and ideals at maximum speed.

The third page reported on the women’s soccer team’s victory in the 2025 International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) U-17 Women’s World Cup. It described how countless people, including locals and strangers alike, flocked to the players’ homes, presenting congratulatory bouquets to their parents.

An article titled, Egalitarianism Has No Place in Socialist Distribution Principles, stressed that to conduct final evaluations without bias, it must strictly adhere to socialist distribution principles. It emphasized that the fundamental requirement of socialist distribution is to allocate more resources to those who work harder and perform better.

Page 4 announced the completion ceremonies for the Kyongsong Fruit Research Station and the Orang Rice Research Station of the Academy of Agricultural Science. It also reported that a delegation from the Russian news agency Rossiya Segodnya, led by First Deputy Editor-in-Chief Sergey Kochetkov, arrived in Pyongyang on Monday.

The fifth page urged for stringent forest fire prevention measures. It stated that forest supervisors, fire watchers, and rangers must intensify patrols in their assigned areas and ensure residents strictly follow regulations on entering forests, adding that no one is exempt from efforts to protect forest resources.

Page 6 offered tips for conserving electricity when using refrigerators. The newspaper noted that refrigerators are among the most power-hungry household appliances. Frequent opening and closing of the refrigerator door results in cold air loss and increased energy consumption. It advised that regular cleaning of the refrigerator can help maintain its efficiency, and recommended checking the condition of the rubber door seal and replacing it if necessary.
