LS Electric is gearing up to make a significant impact in the manufacturing AI transformation (AX) market with its cutting-edge AI-powered factory model.

The company announced on Tuesday that it will showcase its innovations at Asia’s largest automation expo, the 2026 Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition (AW 2026), scheduled from April 4 to 6 at COEX in Seoul. LS Electric will command attention with the largest booth among exhibitors, spanning 270 square meters, under the theme “Smarter Factories, Safer Industries: The AI Revolution.”

At the heart of LS Electric’s exhibition is the AI Factory Package Model, a groundbreaking solution built on global data standards. This model represents the future of manufacturing, where equipment data is standardized, collected, and analyzed to boost productivity and implement predictive maintenance, foreseeing potential breakdowns before they occur. The company has already proven its technological prowess by successfully implementing this model at the Daegu L&F Gugi factory.

The spotlight will also be on the debut of SU-CM70, LS Electric’s latest high-performance Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). This state-of-the-art device boasts unprecedented processing speeds, enabling a single unit to manage multiple facilities simultaneously. Its software-centric design allows for easy customization and feature expansion to meet diverse client needs.

LS Electric is set to unveil a suite of AI platforms ready for immediate industrial application. These include LS SHE, an AI vision-based safety monitoring system; LS Factory Black Box, which dissects the root causes of process anomalies; and an innovative conversational equipment diagnostic solution powered by large language models (LLMs).

The company’s expertise in smart factory technology is well-established, with its Cheongju plant recognized as Korea’s third Global Lighthouse Factory. Leveraging this experience, LS Electric aims to play a pivotal role in enhancing the manufacturing competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in Korea, aligning with the government’s Manufacturing AX Alliance initiative.

An LS Electric spokesperson emphasized that AI-driven manufacturing innovation is poised to reshape industrial paradigms. The spokesperson said that through the exhibition, the company is not only showcasing technology but also presenting a roadmap for digital transformation that domestic firms can implement today. The spokesperson added that the event marks a significant step toward accelerating LS Electric’s automation business and strengthening its position as a leader in smart manufacturing solutions.
