Phonak said March 9 that it held the 2026 Phonak Hearing Aid Leadership Seminar and unveiled its artificial intelligence-based hearing technology strategy along with a new product.

The event, held Feb. 27 in Asia, introduced Phonak’s latest AI hearing technologies and allowed hearing center operators and industry partners to experience the technology firsthand.

In particular, the importance of hearing health management and the role of AI-based hearing technologies were highlighted as key topics as Asia rapidly enters a super-aged society.

Yoon Kyung Lee, CEO of Sonova, which operates the Phonak brand, said in her welcome remarks that the hearing aid industry is rapidly evolving beyond simple sound amplification toward AI-based hearing solutions.

The seminar focused on technology demonstrations and educational programs. Participants were able to directly explore Phonak’s core technologies through interactive hands-on sessions.

Phonak also unveiled its first rechargeable custom hearing aid, the Virto Infinio R hearing aid. The device is designed to provide a comfortable fit and optimized listening performance by precisely reflecting an individual’s ear shape and hearing data.

According to the company, AI hearing technology based on the Infinio Ultra platform delivers clearer speech in a variety of sound environments while combining the comfort of a custom-fit hearing aid with the convenience of rechargeable use.

A representative from Sonova said the leadership seminar was designed not only to introduce Phonak’s technology but also to allow partners to experience and better understand it firsthand.

The company added that it plans to continue introducing user-experience-centered hearing solutions through AI-based hearing technologies, including the Virto Infinio R hearing aid.
