SK Telecom announced on Tuesday that it will unveil South Korea’s artificial intelligence (AI) future blueprint at the nation’s largest information and communications technology (ICT) exhibition, the 2026 World IT Show (WIS).
For this event, SK Telecom is setting up a massive 9,290-square-foot (864㎡) exhibition space under the theme All about AI, showcasing the entire spectrum of full-stack AI, from infrastructure to models and services.
The SK Telecom pavilion is divided into five key zones: Network AI, AI Data Center (DC) Solutions, AI Models, Agent AI, and Physical AI.
SK Telecom is putting next-generation infrastructure technologies at the forefront, which will be the lifeblood of the AI era. The Network AI zone will introduce cutting-edge network technologies, including AI RAN (AI base stations) and AI agents for networks. This demonstrates how communication infrastructure is evolving beyond simple connectivity to become the backbone of intelligent services.
In the AI DC Solutions zone, SK Telecom will showcase its unique AI data center capabilities and outline its vision for next-generation DC platforms and solutions. Through initiatives like K-Sovereign GPUaaS (HaIn), AI DC Infrastructure Manager, and AI Inference Factory, the company aims to set the standard for a Korean-style AI infrastructure that ensures AI sovereignty.
The AI Models zone will feature SK Telecom’s large language model (LLM) A.X (A-dot X) and A.X K1, Korea’s first super-large AI model with 500 billion parameters, which has progressed to the second phase of its proprietary AI foundation model project.
A.X K1 is a crucial model for implementing Sovereign AI, aimed at ensuring national AI security and independence. SK Telecom plans to demonstrate specific real-world applications on-site to underscore the importance of technological self-reliance.
Visitors to the Agent AI zone can experience firsthand how AI is integrated into various aspects of daily life, including phone calls, work, and automobiles. The company will showcase AI agent services such as A-dot Phone, A-dot Note, and A-dot Auto, illustrating the current state of AI optimized for everyday use.
The Physical AI zone will demonstrate technologies where AI learns in virtual environments and operates in reality through digital twin platforms and robot training platforms. This section will explain the evolution from thinking AI to acting AI.
SK Telecom will also operate two additional experiential spaces within the exhibition hall: Vision Cinema and Full-Stack Yard. Visitors can immerse themselves in SK Telecom’s vision of the future AI world through large-screen video presentations and gain a fun, interactive understanding of full-stack AI through various events.
Kwon Young-sang, head of SK Telecom’s Comm Support Division, stated that this World IT Show will allow visitors to directly experience the full-stack AI capabilities of SK Telecom, a leading AI company in South Korea. It hopes this exhibition will provide a meaningful opportunity for all attendees to witness AI that not only thinks but also acts in the real world.
