Daewoong Pharmaceutical has inked a deal with Puzzle artificial intelligence (AI) to supply CL Note, an AI-powered medical record integration solution, the company announced on Tuesday.

This strategic partnership allows Puzzle AI to secure a stable supply channel, while Daewoong Pharmaceutical bolsters its smart hospital business by expanding its digital healthcare portfolio.

CL Note stands out by integrating Puzzle AI’s core solutions – PuzzleGen, PuzzleENR, and Smart Call Bell – into a single platform. This comprehensive system manages everything from doctors’ medical records and nurses’ notes to patient communications.

Healthcare facilities can now streamline operations by implementing this all-in-one solution, eliminating the need for separate systems and boosting both convenience and efficiency.

CL Note is more than just a medical record automation tool; it’s a complete solution driving the digital transformation of hospital operations, said Daewoong Pharmaceutical Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Lee Chang-jae. By integrating CL Note with the existing smart bed monitoring system, thynC, it’s building an AI-powered smart hospital ecosystem that will revolutionize healthcare delivery.

This collaboration builds on a tripartite memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed last June between Daewoong Pharmaceutical, Puzzle AI, and Seers for joint smart hospital solution development.

The partnership aims to enhance operational efficiency and create a patient-centric smart treatment environment. This will be achieved by implementing cutting-edge digital healthcare technologies across hospitals, including voice recognition for consultations, AI-driven medical record automation, and advanced patient monitoring systems.

Daewoong Pharmaceutical anticipates that these innovations will lead to more precise and multifaceted communication between medical staff and patients. This is expected to elevate both care quality and patient satisfaction. The company believes that this digital transformation will go beyond mere efficiency gains, allowing healthcare providers to focus more on patient care and ultimately realizing the promise of personalized, precision medicine.

As part of the agreement, Puzzle AI will provide GenNote, a voice recognition-based medical record automation solution. The company plans to leverage generative AI to create a medical record system tailored for various healthcare settings, including wards, outpatient clinics, operating rooms, and intensive care units.

Seers will spearhead the integration of thynC and GenNote technologies, while also refining the solution through clinical trials and pilot projects. Daewoong Pharmaceutical will take charge of marketing and distributing the solution to hospitals and medical institutions.

Looking ahead, the three companies plan to intensify their collaborative efforts to expand the solution’s adoption in hospitals. Their shared vision is to create a future-oriented digital healthcare ecosystem, focusing on enhancing treatments through smart bed system integration and developing personalized medical environments based on patient data.
