Sam Altman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OpenAI, is set to deliver a special lecture to Samsung Electronics employees. Samsung will fully integrate external generative artificial intelligence (AI) services such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude starting on Friday, marking a significant leap in their AI transformation (AX) initiative.
Industry sources revealed on Thursday that Samsung Electronics’ Device Experience (DX) division will host DX Insight Talk #2 on June 15 at their Digital City campus in Suwon.
The event will feature Altman and other OpenAI representatives, who will discuss the evolution of generative AI technology, its impact on industry, and future business strategies.
This event is particularly noteworthy as it follows Samsung’s recent introduction of global generative AI services to its DX division employees.
Beginning on Friday, Samsung will provide its DX employees access to a range of generative AI services. Rather than relying on a single AI platform, employees will be able to select the most appropriate AI tools based on their specific work requirements and project characteristics.
Altman is widely recognized as a trailblazer in the generative AI market. OpenAI ignited a global AI frenzy in 2022 with the launch of ChatGPT, profoundly influencing corporate operations and reshaping industry structures.
This special lecture is viewed as an extension of Samsung’s AX strategy. The company aims not only to provide AI tools but also to enhance employees’ AI capabilities, ultimately transforming organizational culture and work processes to be AI-centric.
Global tech giants involved in Samsung’s generative AI initiative are expressing optimism about the partnership.
Thomas Kurian, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google Cloud, stated that Samsung is setting a new global benchmark for corporate productivity. Through Gemini Enterprise, it will empower Samsung employees to build, utilize, deploy, and manage AI agents, accelerating workplace innovation.
