A male in his 20s fell into the water after slipping from a bridge but was saved thanks to a nearby passerby.

According to the Gwangju Seobu Fire Station, on May 8, a 911 emergency call was received at around 3:01 PM the previous day, reporting that a person had accidentally fallen into the stream under the Dongcheon Bridge in Dongcheon-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju.

Upon receiving the call, the fire department promptly arrived at the scene to rescue the man from the water and transferred him to a nearby hospital.

While the man was suffering from hypothermia, his life was not in danger.

The stream had swollen due to rain over Children’s Day.
