The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday that the official website for the APEC Summit had been launched ahead of the First Senior Officials Meeting (SOM1) of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), which will be held in Gyeongju at the end of February.
The official APEC Summit website includes sections About APEC 2025 Korea, Media, Partners, and Visiting Korea (Gyeongju, Jeju, Incheon, and Busan). It also offers key information and materials on senior officials’ meetings and sector-specific ministerial meetings that will be held nationwide in conjunction with this year’s summit.
Following the first Senior Officials Meeting, social media channels will also be launched to provide various information and events that citizens can participate in.
The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “With the launch of the website, the 2025 APEC Summit Preparatory Office aims to provide timely and accurate information on the summit and prepare an event that engages the public.”
APEC is the Asia-Pacific region’s most significant economic cooperation body, with 21 member economies, including South Korea, the United States, China, Japan, and Russia.
In 2025, South Korea has set the APEC theme as ” Building a Sustainable Tomorrow: Connect, Innovate, Prosper.”
