Hyundai Motor Company and Kia announced on Monday that they won a total of seven awards—including one Best of the Best award and six main awards—at the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2025.

The Red Dot Award, hosted by the Nordrhein Westfalen Design Center in Germany, is considered one of the world’s top three design awards. Every year, it recognizes excellence in product design, brand and communication design, and design concepts.

In this year’s product design category, the Kia EV3 received the Best of the Best award. Six additional Hyundai and Kia products received main awards: the Hyundai IONIQ 9, the all-new Palisade, a smart taxi rooftop indicator, a home EV charger, the E-pit ultra-fast charger, and the Pixel Safety Hammer & Cutter.

Hyundai and Kia highlighted that the EV3, which was also named World Car of the Year on April 16, further demonstrated its competitive edge by winning the Red Dot Best of the Best award. The EV3 embodies Kia’s design philosophy Opposite United, featuring a bold, solid body and a dynamic roofline that form a striking contrast.

A Hyundai and Kia representative stated that this achievement reflects the culmination of their design philosophy and vision for the future, adding that the companies will continue to deliver differentiated mobility experiences to customers through outstanding design capabilities.
