Naver’s Tech Convergence Building, 1784, continues to attract interest from Saudi Arabia.

On May 24, Naver reported that Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, the head of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), visited Naver’s 1784 building on May 23. Representatives from Naver, including Chae Seon Ju, CEO and External and ESG Policy Representative; Kim Yoo Won, CEO of Naver Cloud; Seok Sang Ok, CEO of Naver Labs; and Ha Jung Woo, Head of Naver Cloud AI Innovation Center, were in attendance.

The delegation led by Al-Ghamdi experienced various future technologies, such as AI, digital twins, and robots, applied at the 1784 building. They also discussed potential technological collaborations.

The SDAIA is responsible for establishing strategies and conducting research and development in AI, data, and smart cities. Meanwhile, Naver is introducing cutting-edge technologies such as AI, digital twins, robotics, and autonomous driving from 1784, the world’s first robot-friendly building.

Previously, representatives from major Saudi institutions such as the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the National Information Center (NIC), and the National Data Management Office (NDMO) visited the 1784 building to discuss cooperation with Naver.

SDAIA has continued its exchange with Naver, with Al-Ghamdi visiting the 1784 building this year, following in the footsteps of General Manager Alhassan Alhazmi, who visited last year.
