Samhwa Paint Industrial Co., Ltd. announced on Tuesday that it has been re-certified as an internationally accredited testing organization by the Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (KOLAS), operating under the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy.
KOLAS is a system that evaluates and certifies whether testing and inspection bodies meet international standards for conformity assessment capabilities.
A spokesperson for Samhwa Paint stated that since its initial designation as an internationally accredited testing organization in 2013, it has successfully passed three consecutive re-evaluations. This officially recognizes the technical prowess and reliability in the fields of testing and analysis.
With this certification, test reports issued by Samhwa Paint now carry the same legal weight in over 100 countries affiliated with the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) as they do in South Korea.
Samhwa Paint plans to leverage its world-class testing and analysis infrastructure to bolster its customers’ research and development (R&D) efforts and enhance their quality competitiveness.
The company representative added that as materials become increasingly diverse and complex, objective, data-driven research and development (R&D) is gaining importance. It is committed to continuing the support for the clients’ technological advancement by utilizing our analytical expertise and extensive experience.
