Strive, a U.S. asset management firm and Bitcoin treasury company, is swiftly expanding its Bitcoin holdings. The term Bitcoin treasury refers to a strategy of consistently acquiring Bitcoin.

According to documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday, Strive purchased 469 Bitcoins for approximately 36.6 million USD between September 8 and 11. The average acquisition cost was 77,954 USD per Bitcoin.

This acquisition has boosted Strive’s total Bitcoin holdings to 25,000, securing its position as the fifth-largest holder among publicly traded companies worldwide. Last month, the firm surpassed cryptocurrency exchange Bullish to claim this spot.

Matt Cole, Strive’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), disclosed that the entire purchase was funded through the sale of SATA, the company’s perpetual preferred shares. The filing revealed that during the same period, the number of SATA shares issued increased by 402,541, bringing the total to approximately 10.4 million.

In addition to its Bitcoin holdings, Strive maintains 204.2 million USD in cash and cash equivalents. The company also owns 505,000 shares of STRC preferred stock issued by Strive, valued at roughly 49.8 million USD.
