Bitcoin Fluctuates Around 83,000 USD as Middle East Tensions and U.S. Interest Rate Uncertainty Persist
Bitcoin continues to oscillate around the 83,000 USD mark. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the Federal Reserve’s potential for further interest rate hikes are amplifying market uncertainty, with investors closely monitoring institutional fund flows.

As of 9:15 a.m. (KST) on Wednesday, Bitcoin was trading at approximately 112.8 million KRW (about 84,460 USD) on the domestic cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb, down 0.13% from the same time the previous day.

Concurrently, global cryptocurrency tracker CoinMarketCap reported Bitcoin at 83,150 USD, up 1.60% from the same time yesterday.

After rebounding from around 81,000 USD the previous day, Bitcoin briefly touched 84,000 USD before retracing some gains, now stabilizing around 83,000 USD.

Military tensions in the Middle East continue to weigh on investor sentiment. The Financial Times reported that on Tuesday, the number of vessels attacked by Iranian missiles and drones in the Strait of Hormuz and nearby waters reached its highest level since the outbreak of hostilities in February.

U.S. monetary policy remains a key variable. In a recent Bloomberg interview, John Williams, President of the New York Federal Reserve, maintained that one more interest rate hike might be appropriate, while suggesting that the need for further increases is limited.

Outflows from institutional investors are also capping Bitcoin’s upward momentum. U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange traded funds (ETFs) have seen approximately 451 million USD in outflows this month, with around 69 million USD withdrawn on Monday alone.

Majority of Tokenized Stock Trading Occurs Outside U.S. Market Hours
A substantial portion of blockchain-based tokenized stock trading is taking place outside regular U.S. market hours.

Reports from Tuesday indicate that over 70% of tokenized stock trading volume on the BNB Chain occurs outside U.S. market hours, according to Blockworks data. Similarly, Solana and Base networks show approximately 63% and 60% of their trading, respectively, happening outside regular hours.

Analysts attribute this trend to the 24/7 trading capability of tokenized stocks, which is attracting investor interest. The real-world asset data platform RWA.xyz reports that the total value of tokenized stocks has grown by 15% over the past month, approaching 3.3 billion USD.

Bitget Introduces Five Japanese Stock-Based Perpetual Futures

On Tuesday, Bitget announced via its official X account the introduction of perpetual futures trading pairs for five Japanese firms: Murata Manufacturing (MURATA), Taiyo Yuden (TAIYOYUDEN), Toyota Motor Corporation (TOYOTA), Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (JPMUFG), and Sony Group (JPSONY).

These derivative products allow trading based on underlying asset price movements without actual stock ownership. Unlike traditional futures, they have no expiration date, enabling indefinite position maintenance.
