BabyMonster has dropped the guide version of its much-anticipated track “DRIP,” offering fans a closer look at the recording process. On Thursday, behind-the-scenes footage was unveiled, showcasing the group’s journey in creating the track. “DRIP” marks a departure from its previous releases with its fresh, new vibe, and the members faced ongoing challenges as they worked to perfect the song. They meticulously refined every detail, paying close attention to vocal tones, diction, and emotional expression. Through multiple recording sessions, they poured their passion into ensuring the final result was flawless.

Rami truly impressed everyone in the studio, effortlessly handling multiple directions from producers. Driven to deliver the best performance, she returned to the studio the very next day. She took on a leadership role, giving Chikita step-by-step feedback and demonstrations to help refine the recording.

Also featured in the guide recording version is G-Dragon, who contributed to the composition of “DRIP.” His powerful rap from the very start of the track immediately caught attention. Determined to bring her own style to the song, Asa pushed herself to perfect every detail. She added her signature touch with high-pitched bursts at just the right moments and even created the song’s signature opening sound, showcasing her creativity.

Another standout moment in the guide version is Ahyeon’s incredible three-octave high note, which left fans in awe. This moment came about thanks to an impromptu suggestion from YG Entertainment’s CEO, Yang Hyun Suk. He recommended raising the original two-octave high note to three during the recording session. The G# note is notoriously difficult to hit, even for experienced pop vocalists, especially when transitioning seamlessly from chest voice to one breath. But Ahyeon nailed it on her first attempt, leaving Yang and the entire recording team in amazement.

In other news, BabyMonster is gearing up for the launch of its debut world tour, 2025 BABYMONSTER 1st WORLD TOUR HELLO MONSTERS IN SEOUL, which will take place at the KSPO Dome in Seoul on January 25 and 26. This marks the beginning of a 19-show tour across 10 cities. Fans eagerly anticipate the group’s upgraded live performances, featuring a dynamic setlist including tracks from its debut album, DRIP, and solo stages. The excitement surrounding its first world tour is palpable, and the group is ready to make a lasting impact on the global stage.
