The funeral service for Kim Sae Ron will take place at Seoul Asan Medical Center in the Songpa District of Seoul, South Korea, with her final resting place set at Unification Road Memorial Park. The actress’s family has announced that the funeral procession will be held privately.

Kim Sae Ron was found deceased at her home in Seongdong District, Seoul, on Sunday. A friend scheduled to meet her that day made the heartbreaking discovery. Authorities have confirmed that there were no signs of foul play or forced entry, and no suicide note was found at the scene.

Kim Sae Ron’s wake was held on Monday in Room 7 of the Seoul Asan Medical Center. Among the first to pay their respects was Won Bin, the star of The Man from Nowhere, the 2010 film that helped launch her career when she was just 10 years old. Close friends, including Lee Su Hyun of the South Korean duo AKMU, Kim Bo Ra, and Han So Hee, also visited to honor her memory.

Fans worldwide have also shared messages of grief, mourning the loss of the talented young actress.

Born in July 2000, Kim Sae Ron began her career as a magazine cover model at just one year old. She first gained significant attention for her role in the 2009 film A Brand New Life, which was featured at the Cannes Film Festival, and for her performance in the 2010 action film The Man from Nowhere, starring Won Bin.

Kim Sae Ron continued to grow her career with roles in films such as A Girl at My Door (2014), Manhole (2014), Snowy Road (2017), and The Villagers (2018). She also appeared in popular TV dramas like Snowy Road (2015), Secret Healer (2016), and The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim (2021), transitioning from a child actress to a leading star.

However, in May 2022, Kim Sae Ron’s career paused after she was caught driving under the influence and failing to report an accident. After her contract expired, she expressed regret in a handwritten apology and parted ways with her agency, Gold Medalist. Since then, she has not participated in any major entertainment activities. Her final project was the music film Guitar Man, which was completed in November of the previous year.
