GFRIEND Teases New Album with Nostalgic Concept Video Ahead of 10th Anniversary

The K-pop girl group GFRIEND, approaching their 10th debut anniversary, shared hints about their upcoming release through concept sketch videos.

On Sunday and Monday, GFRIEND uploaded six individual concept sketch videos and one group video for their special album “Season of Memories” on HYBE Labels’ YouTube channel and Source Music’s official social media accounts. Although each video is only about 20 seconds long, the illustrated depictions of the members have garnered significant attention.

The released videos provide a glimpse into the concept of their new album, “Season of Memories,” which will be released on January 13, 2025, at 6 p.m. The illustrations feature the members dressed in winter-themed accessories like furry hats, leg warmers, and scarves, exuding a cozy yet trendy vibe and sparking curiosity about the final concept photos.

In addition, the videos feature the title tracks from their previous albums as background music, evoking nostalgia for fans. Songs such as “Glass Bead,” “Me Gustas Tu,” “Rough,” “NAVILLERA,” “FINGERTIP,” “LOVE WHISPER,” and “Time for the Moon Night” play in the background, recalling the group’s earlier days.

GFRIEND, celebrating its 10th anniversary in January 2025, has established a unique identity with its pure charm combined with powerful synchronized choreography, often referred to as Power Innocence. It has also showcased a wide musical spectrum, excelling in emotional and dreamy tracks and retro-style music.

Ahead of the release of “Season of Memories,” GFRIEND will pre-release a new song on January 6, 2025, at noon. They are also scheduled to meet fans through their solo concert, GFRIEND 10th Anniversary of Memories, held on January 18 and 19, 2025, at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
