Laser and energy-based medical solutions company Wontech said on April 23 it will host “Wave Tokyo” in Tokyo, Japan, and officially launch SANDRO Dual.

“Wave Tokyo” will be held on April 26 at the Four Seasons Hotel Otemachi in Tokyo. Following the successful completion of “Wave Beijing” in China on April 21, the company is continuing the event series in Japan, signaling the full-scale expansion of its presence in the Asian market.

The key highlight of the event is the official launch of SANDRO Dual, which recently obtained regulatory approval in the Japanese market.

SANDRO Dual is a combined laser device that has secured U.S. FDA clearance, followed by Taiwan TFDA approval in January this year and Japan PMDA approval in late March, demonstrating its global competitiveness by consecutively obtaining certifications in major regulatory markets.

The PMDA-approved SANDRO Dual can be applied to dermatological procedures related to hair removal, pigmentation and vascular conditions. It features a “hybrid mode” that sequentially emits two wavelengths, 755 nm and 1064 nm, with a short interval, enabling precise energy delivery to target areas.

In addition, the company will introduce clinical results and product competitiveness of Oligio Kiss. Wontech aims to present a broad product portfolio and technological reliability to Japanese medical professionals and partners by showcasing both its new device and the clinical strengths of its core lineup.

A Wontech official said, “Japan is a market where not only product performance but also clinical reliability and local relationships determine business outcomes, so we will position Wave Tokyo not just as a launch event but as a starting point for tangible business expansion,” adding, “Leveraging the portfolio competitiveness of SANDRO Dual and Oligio Kiss, we will seek to preempt key Asian markets and use this year, the inaugural year of Wave, to accelerate brand expansion across major global markets.”
