The virtual idol group PLAVE has made an impressive debut with its new mini-album, Caligo Pt.1, which has topped the Melon chart.

PLAVE released its third mini-album on Monday across various music streaming platforms. The album’s music video, produced on a blockbuster-level scale, quickly captured attention. As fans eagerly awaiting the group’s return streamed the album, the title track, “Dash,” shot to number one on Melon’s Top 100 chart on the day of its release.

In an impressive feat, all five tracks from the album, including the title song, claimed the top five spots on Melon’s Top 100 chart. Within just two hours and twenty minutes of its release, the album surpassed one million streams on Melon, setting the second-fastest record in the platform’s history and highlighting PLAVE’s growing influence and popularity.

The live comeback broadcast on the group’s official YouTube channel, held on the same day as the album release, peaked at 43,000 simultaneous viewers—further signaling a strong start to PLAVE’s promotional activities amid widespread interest.

PLAVE’s previous digital single, “Pump Up The Volume!,” released last August, also made waves by topping Melon’s HOT100 and TOP100 charts on its debut day and winning first place on major Korean TV music shows. Furthermore, the group’s cumulative streams across all its releases hit 1 billion, earning them the fastest entry into Melon’s Billions Club. With the release of Caligo Pt.1, the K-pop industry is now eagerly watching to see what new milestones PLAVE will reach next.
