Huons Meditech, the medical device arm of South Korea’s Huons Group, is entering Japan’s aesthetic medicine market with the launch of its new hybrid aesthetic device.

The company announced that it signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Japanese company Nifuji for its Dermashine Duo_RF aesthetic device at its headquarters in Seongnam on June 18.

Under the agreement, Nifuji will be responsible for the distribution, sales and marketing of Dermashine Duo_RF to plastic surgery clinics, dermatology practices and other aesthetic medical providers throughout Japan.

Dermashine Duo_RF is a hybrid device that enables both drug delivery and radiofrequency (RF) lifting treatments through a single platform. The system combines the motorized drug injection technology used in the Dermashine product line with a low-output RF energy delivery function.

The device is compatible with a range of needle-tip sizes and is optimized for administering polymer-based skin booster formulations, including sodium polynucleotide (PN), poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), poly-DL-lactic acid (PDLA) and polycaprolactone (PCL).

It also features an upgraded pressure-sensing automatic injection system designed to reduce treatment discomfort while minimizing product loss during administration, providing a safer and more comfortable treatment experience.

Nifuji is a specialized company with an established distribution network and marketing expertise in Japan’s aesthetic and medical device sectors. Huons Meditech expects the partnership to support sales growth for both companies as demand for premium Korean aesthetic medical devices continues to rise in Japan.

“We are pleased to sign this exclusive distribution agreement with Nifuji, a company with extensive experience and influence in Japan’s aesthetic medicine market,” said Ha Chang-woo, chief executive officer of Huons Meditech. “We will work to rapidly expand our presence in Japan, diversify our revenue base and strengthen our competitiveness in the global aesthetics market.”

Huons Meditech develops and manufactures medical devices in the fields of aesthetics, infection control and extracorporeal shock wave therapy as part of the Huons Group.
