AI precision medicine company NGeneBio announced on July 21 that it has begun supplying its HEMEaccuTest precision diagnostic panel for blood cancers to Seoul National University Bundang Hospital.
The latest deployment reflects NGeneBio’s continued expansion of its blood cancer precision diagnostics business across major tertiary hospitals in South Korea. The company plans to sustain its growth by aggressively expanding in domestic and overseas markets with a comprehensive portfolio that covers the entire patient journey, from initial diagnosis to recurrence monitoring.
NGeneBio currently supplies HEMEaccuTest to more than 20 major tertiary hospitals in South Korea, including Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital and Seoul National University Hospital. The addition of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital further strengthens the company’s domestic clinical reference base. Overseas, NGeneBio has expanded its distribution network to Singapore, Vietnam, Colombia, Germany and Romania.
The business expansion has also translated into strong financial performance. NGeneBio’s blood cancer panel business has posted a compound annual growth rate of 36% over the past five years. In the first quarter of this year, domestic sales increased 38% year over year, while overseas sales surged 102%. The accelerating growth in international revenue has positioned the blood cancer diagnostics business as one of the company’s key growth drivers.
As the global number of cancer patients continues to rise because of population aging and environmental changes, the incidence of blood cancers is also increasing steadily each year. Because genetic mutations vary from patient to patient, treatment responses and clinical outcomes can differ even among those with the same disease. As a result, precision diagnostics capable of identifying genetic mutations and monitoring recurrence have become essential for developing initial treatment strategies.
NGeneBio has established a comprehensive blood cancer diagnostics portfolio that uses HEMEaccuTest to analyze major genetic mutations associated with blood cancers at the time of diagnosis and MRDaccuPanel AML FLT3 to monitor measurable residual disease (MRD) after treatment.
The MRDaccuPanel is designed to detect FLT3 mutations, a key biomarker in acute myeloid leukemia (AML), at levels as low as 0.001%, enabling early detection of disease recurrence. The panel meets the ultra-high sensitivity standards recommended by the European LeukemiaNet (ELN) guidelines.
NGeneBio is also expanding the use of its blood cancer diagnostic panels into companion diagnostics and biomarker detection for drug development. The company plans to broaden applications for patient selection, treatment response assessment and recurrence monitoring during the development of FLT3-targeted cancer therapies. It also intends to continue expanding the business by accumulating clinical evidence, pursuing recognition under South Korea’s new medical technology assessment system and obtaining national reimbursement coverage.

Meanwhile, NGeneBio is advancing commercialization of next-generation technologies, including early dementia diagnostics and liquid biopsy platforms, through product development and regulatory approvals. The company is also focusing on expanding exports to overseas medical institutions in the United States, Germany and Singapore.
