Brice Garnett (USA) has emerged victorious after a four-round playoff at the PGA Tour Puerto Rico Open (total prize money of $4 million).
On the 11th (Korean time), Garnett scored a total of 19-under par 269 at the Grand Reserve Golf Club (par 72 at 7506 yards) in Puerto Rico, tying with Erik Barnes (USA), and claimed the victory after a four-round playoff battle.
Born in 1983, Garnett earned his second career PGA Tour victory in March 2018, six years after his win at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.
Along with the $720,000 winning prize, Garnett also secured a three-year PGA Tour card and entry into the Players Championship and the PGA Championship in May.
Garnett, who was two shots behind in second place after three rounds, captured the top spot on the leaderboard by scoring three birdies without a bogey on the day.
Barnes scored 4 under par on the final day, leading both players into a playoff.
Neither Garnett nor Barnes could easily take the win in the playoff held at the 18th hole (par 5).
