A powder identified as a nerve agent has been found at Incheon International Airport. The police and military authorities are analyzing its composition.

Around 6:33 AM on May 23, the Incheon Airport Police Station reported that a mysterious black powder was detected in a passenger’s bag near the check-in counter on the third floor of Terminal 1. The passenger reported to emergency services, saying, “I found something like coffee powder in my bag, but it’s not mine.”

The Fire Department’s Emergency Chemical Response Center and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team visited the scene. It confirmed that about 65 grams of powder was found in the passenger’s bag. Fortunately, there were no victims of this incident.
