Nvidia announced on Thursday that it has entered into a strategic partnership with HUMAIN, the artificial intelligence (AI) subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), to construct a cutting-edge AI factory.

The tech giant will provide HUMAIN with 18,000 units of its latest AI chip, the GB300 Grace Blackwell. These advanced processors are slated for deployment in the construction of a massive 500-megawatt (MW) AI data center in Saudi Arabia.

As part of its ambitious plan to diversify from an oil-dependent economy, Saudi Arabia aims to import hundreds of thousands of Nvidia graphics processing units (GPUs) over the next five years, accelerating its digital transformation.

Leveraging the AI supercomputer supplied by Nvidia, Saudi Arabia intends to spearhead the large-scale training and deployment of Sovereign AI models.

HUMAIN plans to implement Nvidia’s Omniverse platform as a multi-tenant system, facilitating the development of digital twin-based physical AI solutions across a spectrum of industries, including manufacturing, logistics, and energy.

Both companies are also committed to fostering talent, with plans to launch extensive capacity-building and educational initiatives.

Nvidia’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jensen Huang emphasized that AI is becoming as crucial to national infrastructure as electricity and the internet. The collaboration with HUMAIN will enable Nvidia to build AI infrastructure that serves Saudi citizens and businesses, helping to realize the kingdom’s bold vision for the future.
