Ewha Womans University’s Global AI Drug Discovery Research Center announced on Tuesday that it held a signing ceremony with Cureverse Inc., a drug development company, on January 5 at the university’s College of Pharmacy. The ceremony marked the beginning of their collaboration on next-generation drug research and development using artificial intelligence (AI).
The agreement outlines plans for joint research and technological cooperation in AI-based drug development, collaborative research and development projects, and shared use of research facilities. The partnership will also include academic exchanges such as seminars, research presentations, and guest lectures, as well as joint educational and internship programs aimed at cultivating experts in the field.
This collaboration serves as a stepping stone for both institutions to progressively expand their joint research and development efforts in next-generation drugs. They aim to leverage the Ewha-Korea Institute of Science and Technology-Seoul Biohub cooperation network to generate sustained research outcomes and explore opportunities for technology commercialization.
