Wontech, a leading laser and energy-based medical solutions company, announced on Tuesday that it has secured medical device approval for its V-Laser in Vietnam.

This approval marks a significant expansion of Wontech’s product lineup in Vietnam, adding the V-Laser to its existing offerings, Oligio and Oligio X. This move strengthens the company’s position in this key Southeast Asian market.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Health (MOH) has certified the V-Laser as a medical device, recognizing its versatility in treating various conditions. Utilizing dual wavelengths of 1064nm and 532nm, the V-Laser can address telangiectasia, freckles, melasma, dark circles, warts, pigmented lesions, hair removal, and skin elasticity improvement. The MOH has approved its use for surgical and aesthetic purposes in dermatology, general surgery, and plastic surgery.

Industry experts are hailing the V-Laser as a groundbreaking solution that surpasses traditional vascular and pigment lasers.

The device’s dual wavelength technology and advanced energy control system have garnered praise from medical professionals worldwide. It offers enhanced treatment efficacy while significantly reducing post-procedure recovery time, solidifying its competitive edge in the global market.

Wontech has already established a strong presence in Vietnam, supplying radiofrequency and laser equipment and fostering solid relationships with local medical professionals. The V-Laser approval allows the company to broaden its product range, now encompassing vascular and pigment treatments, and offering local clinics an expanded array of cutting-edge treatment options.

Vietnam is emerging as a powerhouse in the Southeast Asian medical aesthetics market, with its population of approximately 100 million and a burgeoning young consumer base. Market research firm iMarket Group forecasts impressive growth for Vietnam’s medical aesthetics market, projecting an increase from 91.5 million USD in 2024 to 188.4 million USD by 2033 – more than doubling in size.

A Wontech spokesperson highlighted the enthusiastic response from local medical professionals, noting that over 100 Vietnamese doctors participated in a recent webinar showcasing the V-Laser and its clinical applications. The representative stated that they’re poised to accelerate the market penetration and establish a robust sales foundation by leveraging the existing distributor network.
