The Ministry of Health and Welfare announced on Tuesday that it held a meeting to assess the supply situation of pharmaceuticals and medical products and gather feedback from the field in preparation for the prolonged conflict in the Middle East.

Chaired by Second Vice Minister Lee Hyeong Hoon, the meeting included key organizations such as the Korean Medical Association, the Korean Hospital Association, and the Korean Pharmaceutical Association.

Participants discussed several topics, including the status of pharmaceutical and medical product supplies, the challenges and concerns on the ground, and strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions.

Second Vice Minister Lee stated that while domestic supplies remain stable overall, the government will continue to monitor the situation closely, gather feedback from healthcare providers, and respond proactively given ongoing external uncertainties.
