SK Biopharmaceuticals announced on Tuesday that its U.S. subsidiary, SK Life Science, will present multiple posters at the 2026 American Academy of Neurology (AAN) Annual Meeting. The conference is scheduled for April 18-22 in Chicago, Illinois.

At the event, SK Life Science plans to showcase clinical outcomes, real-world evidence (RWE), pharmacokinetic data, and long-term efficacy results for cenobamate, their groundbreaking epilepsy medication. The company will also present comprehensive analyses of the challenges faced by epilepsy patients and healthcare professionals in treatment experiences and communication.

A key highlight will be the new methodological analysis of the Hope, Hesitation, and Hard Truths survey, which delves into the communication gap between epilepsy patients and healthcare providers. This survey, initially revealed last November during Epilepsy Awareness Month, was designed to explore perception differences between patients and medical professionals. The presentation will offer detailed analyses of the survey design and respondent groups, along with insights from various stakeholders’ perspectives.

Dr. Sunita Misra, Chief Medical Officer at SK Life Science, emphasized that understanding the communication gap between patients and healthcare providers is crucial for enhancing the quality of patient care in epilepsy management.

She elaborated that the Hope, Hesitation, and Hard Truths survey provides a comprehensive view by incorporating perspectives from epilepsy patients, neurologists, and advanced practice providers (APPs). This approach will help them gain deeper insights into the barriers within the care process and identify communication gaps that may influence patient management decisions.

SK Life Science is set to deliver a total of 10 poster presentations at this conference. All abstracts presented at the American Academy of Neurology will be accessible on the official AAN website.
