JW Life Science, a health care-focused affiliate of JW Pharmaceutical (001060), said on the 22nd it has launched a medical care brand, “Dr. Claro,” along with five new products.

The five newly introduced products include Medical Cream MD, Easy Care topical liquid dressing, and three types of moist dressings (spot, thin and skin-fit). All products have received Class II medical device certification.

In particular, Dr. Claro Medical Cream MD is an adhesive transparent wound dressing designed to protect damaged skin barriers, minor (first-degree) burns and dry skin. It contains ceramide, squalane and panthenol, which help strengthen the skin barrier.

The product also received an “Excellent” rating from Dermatest, a research institute in Germany, and completed tests confirming the absence of 43 types of steroids and seven types of parabens.

Dr. Claro Easy Care is a liquid dressing that forms a thin film over curved areas or minor wounds. Its polyurethane component helps prevent external contamination and provides waterproof protection, while natural ingredients such as houttuynia cordata and camellia leaf extract help protect sensitive wound areas.

The three hydrocolloid moist dressings can be selected based on use and application area. They include spot patches for acne or localized areas, thin patches for larger wounds and skin-fit patches for chafed or curved areas. The products contain centella extract and tea tree oil to help maintain an optimal moist environment for wound healing.

A JW Life Science official said, “Dr. Claro is a medical care brand designed to reflect consumer demand for professional management of everyday wounds and skin damage,” adding, “We plan to continue introducing reliable medical care products for customers.”
