Hugel, a leading player in the aesthetic medicine industry, is setting its sights on Taiwan, one of the top five countries in the Asian botulinum toxin market.

The company recently announced its participation in the AMWC ASIA & TDAC 2026 held at the Taipei International Convention Center.

This prestigious event brings together medical professionals and industry experts from across the globe to share cutting-edge treatment trends and clinical experiences, with a focus on Asia. This year’s conference attracted over 2,000 attendees.

At the conference, Hugel showcased its comprehensive product line, including the botulinum toxin Letybo, the HA filler Revolax, and cosmetics brands BYRYZN BR and Wellage.

The company highlighted the unique benefits of each product and the advantages of combination treatments, while actively pursuing new business opportunities through meetings with visitors.

Hugel has been steadily strengthening its foothold in the Taiwanese market by establishing a direct distribution system through its local subsidiary. After capturing a 10% market share in its inaugural year of 2019, the company has expanded its presence to approximately 30% as of last year, solidifying its position as the second-largest player in the market.

Chang Doo-hyun, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hugel, expressed his confidence in the company’s strategy, stating that its participation in this event has reinforced the network with local medical professionals and reaffirmed the brand’s competitiveness. It aims to leverage the bundling strategy with fillers and cosmetics to enhance the product portfolio and ultimately achieve the top market share in Taiwan.

In a parallel move, Hugel is ramping up its efforts to penetrate the Indonesian market.

The company recently conducted an educational program for over 200 Indonesian medical professionals and industry stakeholders, focusing on its flagship botulinum toxin product Letybo (known as Botulax in the domestic market).

This initiative was part of the annual Parvus Summit, organized by Hugel’s local distributor, Parvus.

Dr. Park Young-jin, director of Songdo Obliv Medical Center, represented the Korean medical community as a keynote speaker. His presentation on the advantages of Letybo’s narrow diffusion area was particularly well-received by the audience.

Having entered the Indonesian market in September 2024, Hugel is optimistic about enhancing local medical professionals’ understanding and utilization of Letybo, while simultaneously building brand loyalty.
