The company announced on Tuesday that it will participate in the American Diabetes Association (ADA) conference in the U.S. from June 5 to 8, where it plans to present a poster on its long-acting obesity treatment candidate.
At the ADA conference, Inventiz Lab will reveal the non-clinical research results of IVL3021, a semaglutide-based long-acting injectable (LAI) administered once a month.
IVL3021 is a formulation that incorporates Inventage Lab’s core technology, the IVL-DrugFluidic platform. This technology precisely controls drug release rates through uniform particle production, minimizing initial burst compared to existing treatments and optimizing long-term maintenance of stable therapeutic concentrations.
In this study, Inventage Lab confirmed IVL3021’s excellent systemic exposure and its corresponding dose-dependent weight loss efficacy. Notably, it proved that effective weight management can be achieved with just a monthly dose, addressing the limitations of existing weekly dosing formulations.
The company emphasized the significance of demonstrating IVL3021’s potential as a maintenance therapy that effectively suppresses weight rebound, a phenomenon that can occur after discontinuing existing medications.
Additionally, results from the next-generation pipeline IVL3024 will be presented. IVL3024, based on tirzepatide, demonstrated long-term stable drug exposure characteristics with a single dose in non-clinical (mini pig) evaluations, showing an excellent pharmacokinetic profile and the potential for high loading of peptide drugs in microspheres.
Building on these findings, Inventage Lab plans to actively expand its pipeline into a GLP-1/GIP dual agonist-based LAI platform.
An Inventage Lab spokesperson stated that recently, dosing convenience and maintenance therapy strategies have emerged as key competitive factors in the global obesity treatment market. Through this ADA presentation, it aims to demonstrate the competitiveness of Inventage Lab’s long-acting platform technology in the global market.
Inventage Lab recently participated in the DDF Summit 2026, Europe’s largest drug delivery conference held in Berlin, Germany, to initiate discussions on global partnerships.
During the event, Inventage Lab held partnering meetings with 10 pharmaceutical and biotech companies, including global giants such as UCB, CSL, Johnson & Johnson (J&J), Bayer, and Sun Pharma, while also securing networking opportunities with additional global firms like Novartis and Merck.
Inventage Lab discussed the potential of converting GLP-1 class obesity treatments to LAI using its long-acting injectable platform IVL-DrugFluidic and collaboration on IVL-BioFluidic™ technology for formulating high-concentration antibody drugs for subcutaneous injection.
The company reported that global pharmaceutical companies showed strong interest in both the conversion of existing weekly dosing formulations to monthly dosing and the IVL-BioFluidic technology, which enables high-concentration formulation without separate hyaluronidase.
Inventage Lab is also developing a long-acting Alzheimer’s injectable that can be administered once a month. The IVL3003, under development by Inventage Lab, reached Tmax approximately two weeks after administration and maintained stable blood concentration, with a certain level of concentration persisting even after four weeks, confirming its potential as a long-acting formulation.
